题目:Multimode Quantum Optics in the Continuous Variable Regime: from Quantum Imaging to Time Transfer Experiments
报告人:Dr. Nicolas Treps(Laboratoire Kastler Brossel, Université Pierre et Marie Curie and CNRS)
摘要:
The concept of single mode and multimode light leads to the generation and measurement of multimode entanglement and to information extraction beyond the standard quantum limit. For instance, one can improve the sensitivity of beam positionin, attaining sensitivity in the Angstrom regime, but one can also propose the improvement of space-time positioning with mode-locked femtosecond lasers. We will expose how such a regime can be reached, either in the spatial domain with spatially degenerate optical parametric oscillators or in the time and frequency domains by means of frequency combs.
Dr. Nicolas Treps 简介:
Dr. Treps graduated from Ecole Polytechnique, then obtained his PhD in 2001 from the Kastler Brossel Laboratory, Pierre and Marie Curie University. After a year as a postdoc at the Australian National University he returned to KBL, where he is now a CNRS researcher. His research covers the quantum properties of optical images, the generation of multimode non-classical light to generate multimode entanglement, improving image processing, and the fundamental limits in space-time positioning. He has published over 40 articles, 4 book chapters, and more than 30 conference papers including 8 invited talks. He received the prize for the best article of the European Optical Society in 2007.
